Lifeguards (Part-Time)

Short summary of the job:
To ensure the safety of visitors for the Pedal Boat Activity at Singapore Discovery Centre’s Discovery Lake, as well as deliver a positive and engaging experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the serviceability of all pedal boats and life vests, and to report to the Supervisor of any issues/findings found that affect operations and/or compromise safety.
- Ensure that the area for embarking and disembarking is safe and free of any form of hazard.
- Assist visitors and facilitate the running of the Pedal Boat activity by validating tickets and ensuring guests meets the requirements.
- Maintain constant surveillance of guests on pedal boats or any other activities on the lake.
- Recognise and respond effectively in emergency situations to appropriately secure safety of visitors.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Performs any other duties and/or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bronze Medallion by Singapore Life Saving Society.
- Certified in First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Able to work on weekends and Public Holidays.
- Guest-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Hours:
- Shifts: Saturday/Sunday, between 11am to 6pm depending on operation requirement
Hourly Rates:
- Weekdays/Weekends: $15/hour
- Public Holidays: $22/hour
