CAMP ACTIVITIES
'Army Days' Experience
Pick up some survival skills during the specially curated ‘Army Days’ experience by SDC.
Campers will get to experience or relive days spent in the army which includes camo face painting, field cooking and working together to pitch a basha tent.
Exploring SDC Attractions
During the 2-day-1-night camp, participants will enjoy admission to Singapore Discovery Centre’s selected signature attractions which includes Black Lake Laser Battlefield (laser tag), Black Lake Facility (escape room) and XD Theatre. Not forgetting our Permanent Exhibits Gallery – Through the Lens of Time & Sandbox!
Eco-sustainability Workshop & Trail
Complete the camping experience by learning more about sustainability!
Campers will take a moment to step outside the comforts of their tent and appreciate the nature that surrounds SDC!
They will get to embark on Singapore Discovery Centre’s Eco-Sustainability Workshop and Trail and have hands-on experience on microgreen planting workshop. They will get to bring home their very own DIY plant thereafter.
Get Toasty by the Lake
Conclude the night with a mini barbeque experience by the Discovery Lake, which provides the perfect cosy time for families to bond.
Small bites and drinks will be provided.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
Follow the map, collect clues, solve riddles, and complete the mission as a team. At the end, the team with the highest score will win a mystery prize!
Need a break? Campers can also opt to rest in their tent or grab a bite at the cafe.

What will I experience during the Camp 1N?
Camp 1N is a fun-filled 2D1N camping ‘staycation’, camping activity here at Singapore Discovery Centre. You will be staying in tents which are set-up in an indoor-fully air-conditioned setting. All campers will be able to experience a specially curated ‘Army Days’ programme where you will pick up hands-on skills such as tent pitching, outfield cooking and a special night mission trail.
Camp 1N package also includes all meals, a welcome camp kit and admission to all SDC signature attractions such as our Black Lake Facility (Escape Room), Black Lake Laser Battlefield (Laser Tag), XD Theatre Ride, Permanent Exhibits Gallery – Through the Lens of Time and other hands-on activities and workshop such as our Eco-sustainability Workshop and Trail and crafts for all!
When and where will the programme be held?
The programme will be held on selected dates from 28 Nov to 8 Dec 2022. This will be a 2D1N camp held within the compounds of Singapore Discovery Centre on.
How much will it cost?
It is $499 for SDC members and $599 for non-members.
Do I get a discount if there are a total of 3 participants only?
Registration for Camp 1N is based on a per tent basis, with recommended signup for 4 persons. There will not be any pro-rated discount.
How many people can I come with?
There is no minimum group size required, but all participants must be registered for the camp.
The recommended ‘Shiok’ Camping Experience can accommodate up to 5 persons per tent. The tents can fit up to 2 adults and 3 children or 4 adults comfortably.
Is there a minimum age required?
Yes. All participants are to be at least 5 years old and above and participants below 21 years old must be accompanied by an adult (21 years and above).

Do I get any discounts if I am a SDC member?
Yes, SDC members are applicable for an exclusive discount.

How can I sign up to be a member and will my membership be in time for Camp 1N?
To sign up to be a SDC member, visit www.sdc.com.sg/membership-register to apply online.
Membership confirmation is immediate after members activate their account. For new members signing up for the camp, please email [email protected] for support assistance. Please note that if during the process of applying for SDC membership and camp slots sell out, membership fee will not refundable.
Can I make a booking as a walk-in guest?
All bookings must be completed via SDC’s website, availability is subject to first-come-first-served basis.
Is parking available and will there be parking charges?
Parking lots are available in Singapore Discovery Centre. ONE complimentary parking ticket will be given per registered tent.
What time do we check-in and check-out?
Campers are required to check in at 2:00pm on Day 1 and the check-out time will be at 12:00pm the following day.
Where will we sleep?
Registered campers per group will be sleeping in a pre-setup tent.
Do we have to bring our own pillows?
Inflatable air pillows, along with sleeping bags will be provided per tent for the ‘Shiok’ experience.
Where do I get water?
There are several water points in the centre. Hot water is always also always readily available from the water dispenser, conveniently located at the Bottle Tree Cafe Restaurant.
Do I have to bring my own towels and toiletry?
Shower gel and shampoo will be provided at the showering facilities. However, do bring your own towels, toothbrush, and toothpaste.
Are there shower facilities?
Yes. There is access to the shower facilities located within Singapore Discovery Centre.
Can I charge my phone at the campsite?
Yes. There are power points within the tents.
Where will I keep my belongings?
There will be lockers provided, near where the tents are setup.
Will meals be provided?
Yes. Dinner and breakfast will be provided.
Will the meals provided be Halal certified?
Meals will be provided by Bottle Tree Cafe Restaurant. Although Bottle Tree Cafe Restaurant is not Halal certified, the meals provided are prepared without pork and lard.
Will we have access to food at night?
Light refreshments such as drinks and biscuits will be provided as part of the welcome pack.
What happens if it rains?
Camp 1N will continue and certain activities may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Nevertheless, we will provide sufficient activities to keep campers engaged and occupied during the stay.
Can I leave at any time?
Camp 1N is a 2-day 1-night programme. All registered participants are encouraged to stay for the duration of this camp to enjoy the whole experience. Should there be a need to exit from the camp at any time, do keep your respective Camp ICs informed.
What should I do if I fall ill or get injured?
You may approach any of our camp staff who will be present throughout the 2-day 1-night stay with you. We have certified first aiders on site to treat minor injuries. Should there be an emergency, we will activate medical/ambulance services.
Is there anyone I can contact at night if I need assistance?
There will be camp staff present throughout the 2-day 1-night stay with you.
